How does pawnbroking work?

Pretty simple. You bring something in, we have a look, and we make you an offer. If you're happy with it, you walk out with cash. Your item stays safe with us until you pay back the loan plus a bit of interest. When you're ready, come pick it up.

Do I need to book an appointment?

Nah, just walk in. We're here Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30, and Saturday 10 to 3. Bring your item and some ID and we'll sort you out.

How quick can I get cash?

Same day. Usually within about 15 minutes once we've valued your item. No paperwork dramas, no waiting around.

Do you run credit checks?

No. We don't check your credit, we don't care about your other loans. The loan is secured against your item, not your credit score. That's the whole point of pawnbroking.

What if I can't pay back the loan on time?

Give us a ring and we'll work something out. We'd much rather help you get your stuff back than make things harder for you. We've been doing this for 30 years, we've seen it all.

How do you decide what something is worth?

We look at what it's actually worth on the market right now. For gold, we use the live spot price. For everything else, we check condition, brand, and current resale value. We'll show you exactly how we got to the number.
